Pat Greenwood

Pat’s bonsai journey began 15 years ago during his first job at a local nursery, where a couple of humble “bonsai” sparked a lifelong interest. Over the years through trial, error, and persistence, he has developed a naturalistic approach to bonsai design, drawing inspiration from trees seen on his travels and aiming to recreate that same sense of age and atmosphere in miniature.

After years of dipping in and out of the craft, Pat has recently found his stride, joining the Newcastle Bonsai Society as a member a few years ago after being an occasional

Saturday visitor. He has now become an integral member of the club and has presented his first demonstration in July this year. He now enjoys sharing the lessons he’s learned through both success and failure.
