Joshua Hooson is the founder and owner of Bonsai-En, a thriving bonsai nursery and community based in Port Stephens NSW. With a passion for the art of bonsai, Joshua has established himself as a sought-after mentor, with students from around the world seeking out his guidance and mentorship.

As the host of the popular Bonsai-En YouTube channel, the lead tutor at the Bonsai Dojo, and the host of the Modern Bonsai Podcast, Joshua has had the privilege of interviewing some of the most renowned figures in the bonsai world, including Ryan Neil, Bjorn Bjorholm, Robert Pressler, and David Easterbrook, among others. Through his platform, Joshua shares his extensive knowledge and insights on bonsai, showcasing the beauty and complexity of this ancient art form to a global audience.

In addition to this, Joshua also dedicates himself to teaching bonsai in person, offering one-on-one instruction to students both at his nursery and through Zoom sessions.
