Andrew Edge

Andrew Edge is a dedicated bonsai artist from the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia. His journey 
into bonsai began in 1995 when he received a bonsai as a Christmas gift, sparking a passion that has spanned 
over two decades. 
To deepen his understanding of bonsai, Andrew has traveled extensively to countries renowned for their 
bonsai traditions, including Japan, Vietnam, and the USA. These experiences have enriched his knowledge 
and influenced his artistic approach. 
Andrew specialises in working with pines, junipers, and deciduous trees. In recent years, he has expanded his 
repertoire to include various Australian native species, reflecting his adaptability and commitment to 
exploring diverse botanical subjects. 
At his Edge Bonsai Studio in Green Point, near Gosford, Andrew maintains a collection of over 100 bonsai, 
along with numerous trees in development. The studio serves as a hub for enthusiasts seeking guidance, with 
Andrew offering personalized instruction to help others elevate their bonsai skills. 
Andrew is also active in the broader bonsai community, regularly conducting demonstrations and workshops. 
For instance, he has led sessions for the Central Coast Bonsai Club, sharing his expertise and inspiring both 
novice and experienced practitioners. 
His dedication to the art and his willingness to share knowledge have made him a respected figure among 
bonsai enthusiasts in Australia.
